There are certain people who have come into my life, who have influenced me, inspired me, pushed me, or have affected change in some way or another. Tonight as I started wallowing in my own misery, I thought of my darling friend Lenore.
Lenore lives here in Oregon, not too far from me, but came to me through a friend down in Los Angeles. It was an unexpected connection, but it has been so inspiring, and frankly, I LOVE hanging out with Lenore.
My gut says that Lenore just pushed out Baby Ryder (she was due this week, and she’s normally VERY active on Facebook, but hasn’t posted a THING since Sunday….). But Lenore also just lost her first baby boy, Hunter, to Leukemia.
Lenore is a force to be reckoned with, and her husband is equally strong and vibrant. We’ve spent a few dinners together laughing, crying, talking, and just being together in an amazingly comfortable way. I can’t wait to get to know her more, and am so excited to meet baby Ryder.
All that to say, I went and read her blog entry about losing Hunter (www.healinghunter.com), and it was a good “reset” for me to remember what’s important. I’m grateful to Lenore for her grace, strength and openness. Thank you, love, for being such an example to me!
and while I’m not 100% sure that I’m not an early bird with this……………..WELCOME RYDER!!!!!!
