Scrummy Yummy Taco Soup

1 tbs. chili powder

1-1/2 tsp. cumin

1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1/2 tsp. onion powder

1/2 tsp. oregano

1/2 tsp. paprika

1 tsp. sea salt

1 tsp. pepper

1/4 tsp. crushed red peppers

1 large onion, chopped

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 cans black beans

1 can green chiles (or 1 – 2 fresh jalepenos, minced)

1 can chopped tomatoes (or 1 – 2 cups fresh tomatos, chopped)

1 can corn, drained (or 1-1/2 cups fresh corn kernels)

1 can tomato sauce

1 can or bottle of beer

4 chicken breasts

avocado, optional

shredded cheese, optional

sour cream, optional

1. In a small bowl, combine spices.  Place onion, garlic, beans, chiles, tomatoes, corn, tomato sauce, and beer in a slow cooker.   Add spice mix, and stir to combine.

2. Add chicken, turn slow cooker to low and cook for 8 hours.  Remove chicken, shred, and return to pot.  Serve topped with avocado, cheese, and sour cream.
