Father’s Day

In the midst of all the excitement and bustle of everything that’s going on at DPF, life has continued to move forward at full speed.  The refrigerator water pump sprung a leak and ruined the hardwood floors. Jake’s girlfriend arrived from Asia. Frank threw a shoe and has decided that he cannot walk barefoot. Boots’ eye is goopy and disgusting. Our dear friends Tim and Pilar welcomed their new baby girl. The realization taht EG’s birthday is in a few weeks and I haven’t started planning her party hit me like a ton of bricks, and most importantly,  it’s Father’s Day.

Welcome, Zac!

I’ve been so amazed at the out pouring of support for our little video audition.  I have no idea where this will go, what producers are actually looking for, or if this “reality show” will even end up being something that I’m willing to participate in. BUT I do know that I have a goal, and while this may not ultimately be the road I take to achieve it, I KNOW that I’m going for it with full force!  Thank your for all the encouragement and willingness to spread the word! Keep it up! It must be working, because just today I got 4,000 votes!

OH, yeah, so CLICK HERE and go vote again!

Yesterday we celebrated Jake’s birthday with a yummy dinner that he prepared. Yes, according to him, he has cooked his birthday dinner every year for the last 10 years.  Crap. How the heck does that happen?!?! If he just wasn’t so damn talented in the kitchen, huh?

Today we had a mellow family day, and then headed to the hospital to visit the newest member of the Tragesser family!  We’re so happy for them! What a precious little bundle! I so wish I had been able to capture her adorable little dimples. I did try for her beautiful little head, but taking photos of a baby while their daddy is rocking them is almost impossible for someone like me who doesn’t know how to work her fancy dancy camera! We returned home to find Jake busy in the kitchen – preparing an amazing tri-tip, potato salad, and getting ready to grill up the chicken I had started marinating last night.  I threw together a salad from the garden and whipped up an avocado-cilantro dressing and voila, Father’s Day dinner was an insanely delicious success!

Quite honestly, his Thai Tri-Tip was the best flavor he has developed to date

It was all just yummy, and I’m pretty sure Jeffrey’s Father’s Day dinner made him pretty damn happy!

RIDICULOUSLY yummy rice salad

This just makes me laugh!
